This session will cover significant new development and updates now available in release 8.1 service pack 6. This will include some items of interest from service packs 4 and 5, as well as a peek at some of the on-going work which will be released as service pack 7.

These present standard views out of the box. However, there are numerous tailoring features built into the Manage 2000 portal network, and new opportunities to tailor and optimize user experiences have been added throughout the 8.1 release cycle. This session will review possibilities for enhancing Manage 2000 portal views for your company and your users through various tailoring features.

Presented by Trey Miller - I-Descriptors, virtual dictionaries in UniData, are important tools to utilize when normalizing data for SQL server delivery with NovoMotion. There are also special @-variables in NovoMotion which can save you from having to construct a formal I-Descriptor. We'll investigate when one technique is preferred over the other.
